Dee Ann Mouser, DVM

School: Texas A&M, 2002
Special Interests:  Internal medicine
Pets:  3 cats & 2 dogs

Dr. Mouser is no stranger to CTCH or our clients.  She worked at CTCH back in 2007 until she left due to a family illness in 2010.  We got her back now and could not be happier.

Dr. Mouser was raised in Houston, TX and received her undergraduate degree in psychology in 1995 and then graduated from Texas A&M in 2002.  2002 is also the year she moved to Austin.

In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking and jewelry making.  She shares her home and life with her husband, David Mouser, DVM, who she married in 2000.  They have three cats, Marley age 19 years, Bart and Wallace whom she adopted from CTCH.  They also have 2 dogs, Micah age 14 and Kate the super cute puppy!

Dawn Burt
Administrator/Bookkeeper

awn joined CTCH in September of 2007.  She has worked as a full-charge bookkeeper since 1993.

Bookkeeper might be her job title, but it definitely does not describe all that she does at the cat hospital.  Dawn's name can be heard ringing through the halls when anything needs to be fixed or figured out.  She is most definitely not afraid of getting her hands dirty.  It is not unusual for Dawn to get to CTCH and have to change scrubs because she is filthy from climbing in a ditch to rescue a scruffy looking little cat on her way to work.

Dawn moved to Texas from Virginia in 1991.  She has volunteered for a local feral cat rescue group for the past ten years and has had animals all her life.  Dawn lives with her husband Greg, the man who supports her passion for all animals.  Most of Dawn's friends consider her a little fanatical about cats, but at CTCH she fits in perfectly.

Denine LaRue
Receptionist

Denine moved from Connecticut to Texas in 1996.  It has been a huge adjustment, but she enjoys living in Texas now.  She has always loved all type of animals, especially felines.

Growing up Denine could not have cats due to her mother being highly allergic.  As an adult Denine has four cats of her own, Shimmer, Mia, Grumpy and Shadow.  She also has three large aquariums with a total of eight fish.

Denine lives with her fiancé, George and her 11-year-old daughter, Sierra.  Her daughter keeps her extremely busy when Denine is not at work. They both share Denines's passion for felines.

As a new member of CTCH Denine has found a family in which she hopes to further her education.

Anna McConnell
Veterinary Technician

Anna started at CTCH in August 2016 as a Veterinary Technician.

Anna came to CTCH after living in Austin for just over a year; she moved to Texas from Wisconsin after falling in love with Austin. She currently lives with two cats, Puss and Bean, and a dog, Shadow, with the recent addition of Elam (or “Squeeze”), a longtime CTCH resident that she adopted.

Anna has worked in the veterinary field for over four years with experience treating large animals and exotic pets but has always had a soft spot for felines.  She also had worked fostering critical case kittens for Austin Pets Alive, training other veterinary professionals and works on the side pet sitting.

In her off-time Anna enjoys making music, playing video games, exploring Austin and spending time with her boyfriend.

Sharon Godwin
Veterinary Technician

Sharon moved to Round Rock from El Paso, Texas where she had lived her entire life.  It has been an adjustment, but she is enjoying being a part of the Round Rock community.

Sharon started working for CTCH in December 2011.  Sharon has always cared strongly for animals and dreams of pursuing a career involving them.  She has grown up with all kinds of pets.  Currently she has a dog, 1 cat and a bird.  She is very interested in felines and exotics. Sharon loves wildlife with a strong emphasis on big cats.

Sharon also enjoys writing and hopes to one day publish a book or two.  But for now, she is trying to learn everything she can working at CTCH.  With her level of determination and hard work, all of her dreams are well within her reach.

Keshia Hargrave
Veterinary Technician

Keshia was born and raised in South East Texas.  She moved to Austin in the summer of 2013 and loves the Austin area.

Keshia has always had a passion for animals of all kind.  She currently has a Welsh Corgi named Zill, an orange tabby named Piro and  Keshia recently adopted from CTCH a little Torti named Glowstick and everyone in the family are thoroughly enjoying the new addition.

Keshia received her Bachelors of Agriculture from Stephen F. Austin in 2011 and hopes to further her education in the future.  CTCH is very happy Keshia has joined our team!
